Object Removal Requests
Who Can Edit or Delete Existing Objects?
Only the maintainer listed in the object's mnt-by attribute can edit or delete the object.
The authorized maintainer is the creator or the most recent editor of the object.
If the Object Relates to Your Organization:
If the object involves an asset assigned to your organization (like an ASN or IP space), the object can be deleted or transfer on your behalf.
Recommended Steps:
Contact the Current Maintainer:
Request that they delete the object.
Once deleted, you can recreate the object in your RADb account.
If the Maintainer Is Unresponsive:
Contact RADb Support.
We will verify the asset ownership by checking the relevant RIR records and may request authorization to remove or transfer the object.
After verification, RADb Support will take appropriate action.
Provide a List of Objects:
Use the RADb Query Tool to compile a list of objects you want removed or transferred.
Email the list to RADb Support for processing.
This process may involve a brief email exchange to prevent email spoofing.
