The Routing Assets Database (RADb) periodically publishes complete snapshots of its entire database on its FTP service. These snapshots provide a comprehensive view of RADb data and can be accessed using various FTP clients or direct downloads.

The FTP archive is publicly available and requires no subscription to access.

• You can access the archive using:

  • Windows Explorer by entering the FTP URL in the address bar.

  • Standard FTP clients such as FileZilla.

• The downloaded file is compressed. Use a utility like 7zip or Winzip to extract the contents.

To check if the database snapshot has been updated, verify the serial number file before downloading:

• Serial number file: ftp://ftp.radb.net/radb/dbase/RADB.CURRENTSERIAL

• An update to the serial number file indicates that a new export is available.

• Developers are encouraged to consult the serial number file first to avoid unnecessary downloads if no update has been made.

The FTP archive directory also includes the most recent downloaded copies from mirrored IRR databases. These mirrored files provide additional routing data from other registries that RADb mirrors.
